Motorbike passenger dies after HGV crash

A woman has died after a crash involving an HGV and a motorbike.
The collision happened on Yarm Road, in Darlington, at about 17.35 GMT on Wednesday.
The woman, who died at the scene, was a passenger on the motorbike.
Durham Police said the motorcycle driver had been arrested in connection with the incident and remained in custody.
No-one else had been injured and the woman's family were being supported by specialist officers, the force added.
