Man arrested after three women injured in assault

Three women have been taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, after an alleged assault at a house in County Louth on Friday.
One woman, who is believed to have sustained head injuries, according to Irish broadcaster RTÉ, was taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The other two women were taken to hospital in Dundalk.
A man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at a Garda station in County Louth.
Gardaí (Irish police) were called to a property in Glenwood Estate early on Friday afternoon.
They are investigating the nature of the weapon used in the incident, RTÉ reported.
