The family of a scientist who was allegedly stabbed to death on a Dundee street has thanked the local community for its "dedication and compassion."
Dr Fortune Gomo, 39, was treated by paramedics but died in South Road in the city's Lochee area on 5 July.
Kyler Rattray, 20, from Dundee, has been charged with Dr Gomo's murder.
Her family said in a statement that the "immense support and assistance" had provided "great comfort."
Dr Gomo's funeral took place in Harare, Zimbabwe in July.
The statement thanked a number of people and organisations, including the first respondents on the scene, the Scottish government, St Andrew's Cathedral in Dundee, and Sandy's Bar in Lochee, which raised more than £11,000 for Dr Gomo's family.

A local woman, wearing a scarf featuring the colours of the Zimbabwe flag, left flowers near the scene on Sunday
It said: "The guidance and resources offered by these institutions and individuals were invaluable in navigating the complexities of the repatriation process.
"We truly appreciate the care and respect with which you handled every detail.
"The contributions from well-wishers, including the Scottish community and beyond, have made a significant difference, helping to make this difficult journey more bearable. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed and has genuinely touched our hearts."
An online fundraiser to create a communal space commemorating Dr Gomo has also raised more than £20,000.
Kyler Rattray appeared in court in July charged with Dr Gomo's murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody when he appeared via videolink at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He was fully committed for trial and the case will call again at a later date.
