Seven men have been jailed for their part in a multimillion-pound plot to supply Class A drugs across West Yorkshire.

Detectives investigating the group seized 26kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than £2m, as well as almost £175,000 in cash between 4 August and 9 December 2021.

Police said their investigation found that up to 303 kilos of Class A drugs was supplied by men.

"This was a coordinated plot to supply heroin and cocaine in kilo quantities that would have been split and sold in smaller amounts on the streets of West Yorkshire and further afield," said Det Insp Kevin Daly.

Det Insp Daly said the group "sought to profit from the misery and violence that the drugs trade brings to our communities".

Two of the seven men, Mohammed Saeed and Olalekan Odedina, were jailed at Leeds Crown Court on 14 November, bringing the investigation to a conclusion after five others were sentenced in October.
