Officers spot tumble dryer on fire outside house

The fire service said the cause of the blaze was accidental

A tumble dryer fire outside a house "could have ended in tragedy" had it not been spotted by neighbourhood officers, police have said.
They raised the alarm after seeing flames and smoke coming from a property in Leverington Road, Wisbech at about 16:00 GMT.
In a social media post, external, Cambridgeshire Police said: "Thanks to the quick-thinking of officers, everyone was brought to safety before the fire service arrived on the scene."
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew arrived to find the dryer "well alight" and added the cause was accidental.
