People are being warned of a scam text message demanding toll payments for crossing a new bridge.

The £145m Gull Wing Bridge, in Lowestoft, Suffolk, opened in September and there is no charge for crossing.

Suffolk Trading Standards said people had been sent messages purporting to be from Lowestoft Council about an unpaid toll.

Trading Standards has advised people not to click on the payment link and report any scam messages.
