Long delays after air ambulance called to M6 crash

Motorists have been warned of significant delays following a serious collision on the M6 in Lancashire.

National Highways said an air ambulance was called to the southbound carriageway between Junction 34, near Lancaster, and Junction 33, near Galgate.

The nature of the crash has not yet been revealed.

The southbound carriageway remains closed while the northbound lanes have reopened following the departure of the air ambulance. Diversions have been put in place.
