A man suffered minor injuries

A man has been injured in an attack on a street in Plymouth, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a man was approached by another man on North Hill shortly after 14:00 GMT on 21 March before he was punched.

The force said the man suffered minor injuries and was further assaulted after he fell to the ground between Deptford Place and Bedford Park Villas.

It said the two men were believed to be known to each other.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the attack to get in touch.
