Man charged after two people injured in crash

A man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after two people were hit by a car.
Police said the charges related to an incident in Oronsay Road in Beaumont Leys, Leicester, at about 10:30 BST on Thursday.
The man, aged 22, has also been charged with using a vehicle without insurance and one of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The suspect was due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
A 23-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.
