Two people charged following an assault at a hotel have appeared in court.

Lincolnshire Police was called to the Travelodge at the Springfields Outlet Centre in Spalding on 24 June.

At Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday, Danny Lodge, 24, of Bishops Way, London, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent, perverting the course of justice, and assaulting an emergency worker.

Leanne Thornton, 42, of Low Gate in Gosberton, Lincolnshire, did not enter pleas to charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assaulting an emergency worker.

Ms Thornton's case was adjourned until 1 September. A provisional trial date has been set for 15 December at Lincoln Crown Court.

Police previously said the victim was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
