Fireworks have been set off into three houses in York in a series of "disturbing" incidents, police have said.
The fireworks were let off through letterboxes at two properties and through the window of another home, all in the Tang Hall area of the city.
The houses, on Carter Avenue, Fourth Avenue and Olympian Court, were targeted between 18:30 GMT and 19:00 GMT on Monday, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
Sgt Luke Hutchinson said: "Luckily there were no injuries and no serious damage caused, however this could have had devastating consequences."
"These incidents are clearly disturbing and we are doing all we can to identify the suspects involved," he added.
Anyone with information about the incidents, or with footage of what happened, was urged to contact police.
