A man was attacked and robbed of his watch, said to be worth £35,000, during a night out in Newcastle.

It happened on 15 October at 01:45 BST, at the Market Shaker bar in the city's Cloth Market.

Two people are reported to have approached the victim, before putting him into a headlock and taking the timepiece from his arm, Northumbria Police said.

Details of the attack have just been released.

The victim, who suffered a cut to the back of his head and other facial injuries, was taken to hospital.
