Police have arrested four teenagers and seized a machete following a fight in a street in Nottingham.

Officers were called to reports of an altercation in Berridge Road West, in Forest Fields, at about 16:00 BST on Monday.

Nottinghamshire Police received another call a short time later reporting a machete had been dropped underneath a car in nearby Brushfield Street.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, and two 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in custody, the force added.

DCI Claire Gould said: "Violence like this can always expect to be met with a determined response from the force and I hope members of the community welcome these arrests."
