Arsonists caused £100,000 worth of damage after setting fire to a stolen car and haystack, police have said.

A grey Land Rover was stolen between 21:00 BST on October 10 and 06:00 the following day.

Thieves then drove the vehicle around south Wiltshire before setting fire to it at a hay store at Longford Farm, Odstock, near Salisbury. An excavator and farm gates were also damaged during the incident.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen and set on fire, causing upwards of £100,000 worth of damage."
