Two further education colleges in Guernsey will be rebranded under the umbrella of The Guernsey Institute (TGI).

Guernsey College of Further Education and the Institute of Health and Social Studies will become part of TGI from 31 July, with their buildings becoming TGI campuses.

TGI said there would also be different categories for courses including TGI College, TGI Apprentices, TGI Business School and TGI University Centre.

A spokesperson said: "This integrated brand will streamline the way that students and the community interact with The Guernsey Institute, creating a cohesive, forward-thinking educational environment that aims to better serve the needs of Guernsey."

The institute said it would be creating "refreshed marketing materials" and a "unified presence" on social media.

TGI said students would benefit from a wider range of courses and the simplified course categories mean students "know where to look for different kinds of learning".

It said one of the institute's other facilities, GTA University Centre, would continue to operate under its own brand while "remaining proudly part of The Guernsey Institute".
