Man, 76, who died in Dagenham house fire named

A 76-year-old man who died in a house fire in east London which detectives are treating as suspicious has been named by police.

Robert Price's body was discovered in his home on Oval Road North, Dagenham, on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as inhalation of fire fumes and burns.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

The youth was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information in relation to the fire.
