A teenager killed by a falling tree has been named by police.

Kamil Hubert-Ziolko died on Saturday after being struck by a tree at a property in Rotherham Baulk, Carlton-in-Lindrick, in Nottinghamshire.

The 16-year-old's school said it was "deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss".

Three people have been arrested in connection with his death.

'Sudden and tragic loss'

Police said Kamil had been clearing bushes while a group of workers felled a tree when the incident took place.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene, but Kamil was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two men, aged 28 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, and a 28-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three have been released on conditional bail.

Danielle Sheehan, principal at Outwood Academy Portland, in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, said: "As a school community, we are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Kamil.

"This loss is profoundly felt across our school community and our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time."

The school said it would work with its students to find ways to celebrate Kamil's life and support everyone affected by his death.
