A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making homophobic comments during a football match in Kent.

The man is alleged to have made the remarks during the game between Gilligham FC and Milton Keynes Dons on 7 October 2023.

On Saturday he was arrested at Priestfield Stadium, in Gillingham, and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

His bail conditions prevent him from attending any Gillingham FC fixtures whilst the investigation is ongoing.
