Part of a major road has reopened later than planned after roadworks overran.

They were put in place overnight on a stretch of the A12 in Essex at junction 29, near Colchester.

Traffic was diverted on to the exit and entry slip roads at the roundabout.

A National Highways spokesperson confirmed the junction reopened at 07:30 BST and thanked drivers for their patience.
