A 34-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 47-year-old man.

Gwent Police were called to an address in Riverside Drive, Blaenavon in the early hours of Friday.

Duane Keen, from Blaenavon, received serious injuries and died at the scene.

The 34-year-old, from Torfaen, is due to appear in Newport Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Paying tribute, Mr Keen's family said he was a great boxer and MMA all rounder "with lots of belts to his name".

"He would help anyone who needed it and was always at the end of a phone. He loved being with his dogs and out walking with them.

"Duane, you were a champ in the ring, but you were the biggest champ to us," they said.

The tribute went on to say the family were "destroyed" by Mr Keen's death, and that he was "a beloved son, a loving brother and father and a devoted grandfather".
