A man riding a modified bicycle has been banned from the roads after being caught almost three times over the legal alcohol limit.
Tomas Matulis was spotted riding in Cromwell Road, St Neots, on 21 October.
Cambridgeshire Police said officers noticed he was not pedalling and discovered the bike had been adapted with an engine attached. He also smelled strongly of alcohol when stopped.
Matulis, of Flint Way in Eynesbury in the town, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving without a valid licence and was disqualified for 20 months and ordered to pay a fine of £230 at Cambridge Magistrates' Court earlier this month.
At the side of the road, Matulis had given a reading of 93 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath, police said.
The drink-drive limit for motorists, external in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland is 35 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. The level is lower in Scotland.
