Teenagers seriously injured in Lewis car crash

Police are appealing for information after two teenagers were seriously injured in a crash in the Isle of Lewis.
The accident involving a red Vauxhall Corsa happened on the B895 at Tong, near Stornoway, at about 20:45 on Monday.
A 17-year-old girl and a boy, also 17, were taken to Western Isles Hospital with serious injuries and have since been transferred to the mainland for further treatment.
The road was closed for about 12 hours while police carried out an investigation at the scene.
