A man charged with the murder of an Amazon delivery driver has appeared in court via a video link from prison.
Claudiu-Carol Kondor, 42, from Sheffield, died as he tried to stop his van being stolen when out delivering parcels on 20 August.
Mark Ross, 32, of Conference Road in Armley, did not enter a plea to the charge of murder during the hearing at Leeds Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody until his next appearance for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 20 September.
His trial has been scheduled for 4 March and is due to last seven days.
Officers were called to Heights Drive in Leeds at about 18:50 BST on 20 August to reports of a seriously injured man in the road.
Mr Kondor was thought to have been delivering Amazon parcels in the area, for a third-party contractor, when his van was targeted by a thief.
He was left lying in the road when the vehicle collided with two parked cars and was given emergency treatment by ambulance staff.
Mr Kondor was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
