Man dies after getting into difficulty in the sea

Emergency services were called to Brancaster beach on Saturday afternoon

A man in his 70s has died after getting into difficulty in the sea, police said.

Norfolk Police said a man was seen entering the water at Brancaster beach, near Hunstanton, at about 13:20 BST on Saturday, but did not return.

A major search was launched, involving the HM Coastguard, and the man was found about two hours later and pronounced dead.

Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
