John Cannon from Lanark enjoyed a family day out at Balgone Estate in East Lothian and snapped this image of a field of sunflowers. "The day was a little dull and windy but the sight of these glorious flowers in such abundance would be enough to cheer anybody's heart".

Stuart McQueen from Tullibody spotted a lone puffin on a trip to Sumburgh Head, Shetland. Mr McQueen said: "The puffin must not have got the email that they were all leaving".

Rachel Taylor and family were observed by a cow while on a bike ride in Strichen, Aberdeenshire. Ms Taylor said: "I thought she looked so pretty".

Aman Wilson spent a drive through the Isle of Skye searching for a highland cow and luckily came across a herd.

Michael Knight from Tayport, Fife snapped a photo of Fred the golden retriever enjoying himself splashing around at the beach.

Victoria Black from Kinross snapped a photo of her dog Nala standing in a field of wildflowers, planted by her husband Daniel on their farm. Image submitted by proud mum, Katherine Baird.

Good Samaritan, William Smith from Strone, Argyll and Bute came across an injured young male Hobby while out on a jog. Mr Smith ensured the bird was taken care of. He said: "It's now at the vets and is doing well in rehabilitation".

Frank Meehan submitted this sweet image of son-in-law Stuart Graham and baby Cuillin - named after the mountains on Skye - at the top of Ben Narnain near Arrochar. Mr Meehan said: "At eight weeks and one day old, we believe he is the youngest person ever to bag a munro".

Leigh Titterington from Menstrie, Clackmannanshire captured her son Daniel receiving a superhero farewell from his toys before heading off to start his first day at school.

Jimmy Mason from Dunfermline snapped a photo of Skout the peacock while at the peacock sanctuary at Pittencrief park in Dunfermline.

Marie-Pierre Garroway captured this magical image of the Leaping Arch sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy at Marr Burn, Drumlanrig Castle.

Wilma Boyle snapped a photo of a peacock butterfly. She said: "Their beautiful perfect symmetry always amazes me."

Peter Wilkinson spotted a kingfisher perched on a wooden sign - it's unclear if it took any notice of the warning.

Michael Murray from Kelso was loading his dog into the car after a walk along the River Teviot when he spotted an otter taking a stroll up the road.

Kenny Orr snapped an image of the reward at the end of climbing three of the Cairnwell Munros.

Claire McAneny from East Kilbride had to abort her kayaking plans at Lochearnhead because it was too windy but at least captured this stunning photo.

Carol McNaughton enjoyed a "peaceful and tranquil" walk at Peninver Beach near Campbeltown.

Mark Hale from Stirling snapped this image of St Monans windmill in Anstruther, Fife.

Liz Rodger found evidence of what appears to be a scratching post for Highland cows at Balgavies nature reserve in Angus.

On a trip to Mull & Iona, Hugh McGinnigle from Glasgow enjoyed a tranquil trip to the beach at the north end of Iona.
