A walker was rescued after falling 60m down a hill in the Peak District.

Emergency services and mountain rescue teams (MRTs) were called at about 16:45 GMT on Tuesday after members of the public reported someone falling over the edge of the face of Mam Tor, near Castleton in Derbyshire.

A police officer who was first on the scene climbed down to the casualty who was "relatively uninjured", according to Edale MRT.

A rope rescue operation was set up to lower equipment down to allow the fallen person to be raised to safety.
