A section of the M25 in Surrey has reopened after a police incident led to traffic disruption on Friday.
Officers were called to the motorway at around 17:45 BST and all lanes between junctions six and seven were closed in both directions.
The anti-clockwise carriageway was reopened within hours but the clockwise carriageway remained shut until about 23:50.
National Highways had also warned of delays of 40 minutes between junctions five and six on the motorway on Friday evening.
Surrey Police later said a man had died in an incident which was not being treated as suspicious. His next of kin have been informed.
