A man has died in Redditch after a car crashed into a tree

A man has died after a car crashed into a tree while in Worcestershire, according to police.

The yellow Renault Clio crashed on the Warwick Highway in Redditch at about 13:00 BST on Tuesday.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said the man, in his 40s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and but later died as a result of his injuries.

They added a 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving but was de-arrested following initial inquiries.
