Man charged with murder of 93-year-old

A man has been charged with the murder of a 93-year-old, who died in hospital three months after suffering a serious head injury last year, police said.
Martin Glynn died in Kettering General Hospital after Northamptonshire Police were called by paramedics to a property in Gold Street, Desborough, at about 21:00 BST on 20 September.
Samuel Michael Field, 40, of Gold Street, Desborough, was charged with murder at Northampton Crown Court on Tuesday and further remanded in custody.
He was initially charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, harassment without violence and possession of a class B drug, and had been remanded into custody at the town's magistrates' court on 23 September.
Mr Field is due to appear at the crown court again on 24 October.
