A man has been arrested after a woman was raped in Oxford.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was assaulted and raped by a man known to her outside Oxford Ice Rink at about 22:30 GMT on Monday.
Thames Valley Police has arrested a 33-year-old man from Oxford on suspicion of rape and he remains in custody.
It is appealing for witnesses, including a person who disturbed the assault, to come forward.
Police said the woman was being supported by specially trained officers.
Det Con Marisa Chamberlain, based at Oxford police station, said: "We are carrying out a thorough investigation following this concerning incident.
"An arrest has been made and we are supporting the victim.
"We are asking anyone who may have seen anything around 22:30 outside the Oxford Ice Rink, or if anyone has CCTV, we would ask them to check if it shows anything that may assist our enquiries."
