A woman was taken to hospital after being rescued from a flat fire in Nottinghamshire

Emergency crews were called to Union Street in Beeston at 15:14 BST on Saturday where a flat was "well alight", Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

Cordons were in place around the building while the incident was dealt with.

A spokesperson for the fire service said a joint fire and police investigation would begin on Sunday to determine the cause of the fire.
