Calum Weeks - not pictured - has been banned from acting as a special constable or police officer ever again

A former volunteer police officer who took pictures and videos of him exposing himself would have been sacked had he not quit.

Former special constable Calum Weeks worked for Thames Valley Police (TVP) in Windsor and Maidenhead from October 2020 until he resigned before a hearing held in March.

TVP's chief constable Jason Hogg found Mr Weeks' behaviour was "highly inappropriate" and amounted to gross misconduct.

Mr Weeks has been banned from volunteering as a special constable again or working as a police officer.

A misconduct hearing heard he admitted exposing himself "at a number of locations", including public places.

In three of the pictures, he was wearing a TVP uniform, the force said.

"[Mr Weeks] went onto say that he only exposed his penis in rural locations when there was no one else around," it added.

It said Mr Weeks had not committed any criminal offence.

But Mr Hogg said: "In order to maintain confidence of the public, it is essential that we deal robustly with allegations of misconduct.

"The public should rightly have high expectations of the standards and behaviour of police officers, both on and off duty."
