Woman charged over police officer attack

A woman has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a police officer.
Samantha Dalton, 37, from Wolverhampton, was also accused of attacking three other officers after an incident on Wednesday.
Police were called to Sedgley village after a group of people gathered outside a pub on the Bull Ring roundabout at about 20:00 BST.
One of the officers was attacked and taken to hospital with injuries to their face but has since been discharged, the force said.
The 37-year-old was also charged with a racially aggravated public order offence and a further public order offence.
She appeared before magistrates on Friday, police said.
Another man was also charged over the incident.
Ashley Johnson, 34, was charged with obstructing an officer and criminal damage and will appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on 8 May.
