Masked men rob Post Office with hammer and knife

Police have appealed for information after a Post Office in Shrewsbury was robbed by two masked men armed with a knife and a hammer.

West Mercia Police said the pair raided the branch on Maesbrook Road at 19:00 BST on Thursday.

They threatened staff before escaping with cash and cigarettes, the force said.

No one was injured and the police have asked to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery.
