A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A11 in Norfolk.

It happened near Snetterton at about 23:40 BST on Sunday, National Highways said, following reports of a car leaving the road.

The southbound carriageway was completely shut between the B1077 at Attleborough and the B1111 at Larling, but it fully reopened shortly after 08:00.

Norfolk Police said one vehicle crashed and the woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Meanwhile, another part of the A11 was partially closed at Thetford following a three-vehicle crash.

Norfolk Police said it happened southbound near Croxton at about 08:30, with one lane reopening by about 10:15.
