Investigation after man in his 20s found dead

An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in his 20s.

Suffolk Police was called by paramedics at 10:30 BST on Sunday to a property in Carr Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk, where the man had been found dead.

His death is being treated as unexplained with a Home Office post-mortem examination due to be carried out.

The police force said it was also investigating an altercation and assault as part of this inquiry.

Investigators believe the altercation happened at about 21:20 on Saturday on the seafront promenade by Undercliff Road West.

A police cordon remains in place at Carr Road while investigations have been carried out.

No arrests have been made and officers have appealed for any information.
