People have gathered at Glastonbury Tor to honour Mary Magdalene's feast day.

The day is celebrated in honour of the Christian saint who was said to have been the first to witness Christ's resurrection in the Bible.

In Glastonbury, the day is celebrated at the Tor, as Magdalene Rose Priestess, Caroline Glazebrook, conducted a ceremony with lanterns and roses in the morning, followed by a closing ceremony and live music in the evening.

"In her image, we aim to create a gathering of beauty, power and grace," the festival organisers said.
