'Two weeks of water supply issues is a disgrace'

An MP has called on the chief executive of South West Water (SWW) to consider her position after thousands have been left without water.
MP for North Cornwall Ben Maguire labelled the situation an "absolute disgrace and an outrage".
Taps have been running at low pressure or not at all in the St Eval area since 19 July.
A SWW spokesperson said: "We had some delay in getting the reservoir back into service following essential, unplanned work - we are refilling it now and hope to get it back into service as soon as possible."
They continued: "In the meantime, we are successfully meeting customer demand through tankers with now minimal impact on customers and businesses, however we are sorry for any disruption this has caused."
Residents in the St Eval area near Padstow had their water supply disrupted by works on Bears Down service reservoir.
The Liberal Democrat MP added: "I have today called on Susan Davy, the chief executive, to consider her position very, very seriously.
"It is an absolute disgrace and an outrage that my constituents are left without water."
One business affected by the intermittent water supply is the Music Water Touring Park, near Padstow.
Owners Victoria and Trevor Vercoe described the situation as "shocking".
Mr Vercoe said on one occasion their site had lost all water supply for about 22 hours.
Ms Vercoe added: "Apart from the obvious, we have had to turn down bookings.
"It is the customer relations as well, we don't truly known how this will affect us until next year."
