A 19-year-old who was found dead at a property after officers responded to concern for his welfare has been named as Roman-Vien Klimas.

Essex Police was called to Norman Crescent in Brentwood on the evening of Sunday, 19 October.

His mother, Irene Webb, 50, who was also at the address, was arrested and has been charged with murder.

She appeared for a preliminary hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday, 22 October and was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing on Monday, 17 November, police said.

Det Insp James Holmes said: "Roman's family remain devastated and are struggling to come to terms with what has happened.

"I would please call for their privacy to be respected and for the public to refrain from sharing speculation or commentary which could cause further unnecessary upset."
