A person who came to the aid of a robbery victim in York is being sought by police.
Officers said a man, in his 20s, was attacked by a group of people on bikes on Beckfield Lane, Acomb, at 23:40 GMT on 29 October.
They said the group deliberately rode into the man and stole his electric bike after hitting him on the head.
North Yorkshire Police said the victim was found by a passerby who helped and took him home.
A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing to the member of the public to come forward along with anyone else who was in the area at the time or has any information that could assist the investigation."
They added the force would also like to hear from anyone who might have captured the incident or a group of people on bikes on their doorbell or private CCTV footage.
