Man seriously injured in hit-and-run
Police said the man was struck in Kirby Lane on Sunday afternoon

A man suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a car which then fled the scene in Melton Mowbray.
Police believe a small beige car hit the man and failed to stop in Kirby Lane, close to the junction with Kirby Road, at about 15:40 GMT on Sunday.
The victim, who is in his 60s, was found and taken home by a delivery driver before later being taken to hospital, where he remains.
Leicestershire Police said they were keen to speak to any witnesses, the driver of a white delivery van or anyone with information on the driver that failed to stop.
