Car left in ditch following A-road collision

Two people were taken to hospital after a collision that blocked a major A-road in both directions.

National Highways reported, external the A47 in Norfolk was closed between the A149 at Runham Roundabout in Great Yarmouth and the A1064 at Acle.

Norfolk Police said it was called to the scene at about 06:30 BST and found a car in a ditch after a two-vehicle collision.

One person was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and another person was transported to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.

The force advised people, external to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
