A third man has died following a three-vehicle collision in Dudley.
The incident involved a Ford Transit van, a white Seat and a white Hyundai i20 vehicle at the junction of Highgate Street and Clarence Street in Upper Gornal at 07:32 BST, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Two other men, aged 22 and 28, died at the scene while the third, also aged 22, died in hospital. All three were in the Seat.
West Midlands Police said the driver of the van was taken to hospital with minor injuries and had since been discharged.
The force is appealing for witnesses and footage of the crash.
"This is a truly awful tragedy and our thoughts remain with loved ones of all those affected," said Det Sgt Paul Hughes.
"Specialist family liaison officers are continuing to supporting them at this most dreadful time.
"Investigations are progressing and we'd urge people not to speculate on the circumstances."
A fifth patient, a woman who was the driver of the second car involved, was assessed and discharged at the scene, the ambulance service added.
