A family has paid tribute to a "dearly loved" man who was allegedly murdered in Dundee.
Police were called to a property in Balunie Terrace at about 17:30 on Friday following reports of an injured man.
Alister Lamb, 36, was taken to the city's Ninewells Hospital where he died a short time later.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with Mr Lamb's murder.
The boy made no plea during the private hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to appear in court again next week.
In a statement issued through Police Scotland, Mr Lamb's family said: "Alister was dearly loved by all the family, and we are now trying to come to terms with our tragic loss.
"We are completely devastated and ask that our privacy is respected at this difficult time."
