Pedestrian seriously hurt after being hit by car

A 91-year-old pedestrian was left seriously hurt when struck by a car.
The woman was hit by a black Audi A3 on West Road, Congleton, at 10:50 BST on Saturday. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, a 49-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and later released under investigation.
Cheshire Constabulary has urged anyone who saw what happened or has any information, CCTV or doorbell and dashcam footage to contact them.
