Cyclist seriously injured in Exeter crash

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Exeter, Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed.

Emergency services were called at about 15:30 GMT on Friday after a black Audi Q5 and the cyclist collided on Bridge Road.

The cyclist, a man in his 70s from Exeter, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The Audi driver, in his 70s and from Dawlish, was uninjured.

Police have asked anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to contact them.

Officers said they were particularly keen to hear from the driver of a white Ford Transit van who assisted at the scene.
