Spate of graffiti spoils 'lovely' town - police
- Published
A spate of graffiti is having an impact on the "lovely surroundings" of a Devon town, police have said.
Police are appealing to people in Totnes to provide any information which may help with the investigation to identify those responsible for tags which have been appearing around Totnes.
Officers said the graffiti had spread around the town over the past few weeks, appearing on signs, doors and other street furniture.
Sgt Neil Powers said: "The local community takes great pride in keeping the area clean and tidy, and our police officers will be doing what they can to identify and stop those who are responsible."
He added: "However, we cannot do this without the support of the public.
"I’d like to urge any witnesses or anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward."
