Arrest after crash leaves car on its roof

A man has been arrested after a passenger was seriously injured when a car came off the road and rolled on to its roof.

The grey Mini Cooper was travelling on the A448 Bromsgrove Highway towards Redditch in the moments leading up to the crash which happened at about 01:55 BST.

Two men were taken to the Worcester Royal Hospital, one in a serious condition, West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The suspect, a 25-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

West Mercia Police has launched an investigation and urged anyone who saw the crash or had dashcam footage to come forward.
