A 63-year-old man was arrested during a protest outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in Falkirk.
Police Scotland said the suspect was charged in connection with threatening and abusive behaviour following a demonstration near the Cladhan Hotel, on Kemper Avenue, on Saturday.
A force spokesperson said: "He has been released on undertaking to appear in court at a later date."
A number of protests and counter-protests have been held in recent weeks outside hotels housing asylum seekers in Falkirk, Perth and Aberdeen.
Meanwhile, 26 police officers were injured after more than 150,000 people took to the streets of central London on Saturday for a "Unite the Kingdom" march organised by far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
About 5,000 took part in a counter-protest, co-ordinated by Stand Up To Racism.
