Man charged in Hastings rape investigation

A 32-year-old man has been charged following a report of a woman being raped at a property in Sussex.

Sussex Police said it launched an investigation after a man, who was not known to the woman, called at an address in a road near the centre of Hastings and pushed his way through the front door at 19:00 GMT on 30 November.

Jason Wren, from Hastings, has been charged with rape, attempted rape and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
